Meanwhile, Netwealth Group Ltd (ASX:) added 9.16% or 0.85 points to end at 10.13 and Perenti Global Ltd (ASX:) was up 7.51% or 0.080 points to 1.145 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GWA Group Ltd (ASX:), which fell 3.02% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.57 at the close. Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX:) declined 2.93% or 0.330 points to end at 10.950 and Star Entertainment Group Ltd (ASX:) was down 2.82% or 0.08 points to 2.76.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 761 to 463 and 321 ended unchanged.

AUD/USD was up 0.08% to 0.6987, while AUD/JPY rose 0.08% to 74.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.252.
